Cookie Exchange Party | A Bright Cookie to Delight
Every year I attend an annual cookie exchange. Its a blast!
Cookie exchanges among friends is the way to go. Everyone makes a dozen of one cookie per guest. So lets say you decide on peanut butter kisses. And you have 6 friends, you would make 6 dozen peanut butter kisses. Package each dozen separately. Then at your gathering your friends bring the same of the cookie they baked and you all exchange a plate. You come home with 6 different dozen cookies! You have all December to plate and serve a great collection. The best part is, you only have to foot the bill for your cookie, rather then a mired of ingrediants for all this 6 different ones. Genius!
Maybe chocolate is your go-to. Or a family tradition. Its endless!
Whenever I go to my friends exchange, I always think about a cookie that would pop on a plate with others. I also have a 6 year old, so I always think of kid pleasers too.
For this year I chose to make a mini bright pink candy cane sugar cookie with pink coloured sugar. Simple, but pops!
Recipe here with the exception, I subbed 1/4 cup sugar in the recipe for No Name cherry jello power. I also skipped the Vanilla Flavouring as the cherry is powerful enough.
Pro Tip: If you host a cookie exchange, best to include a potluck and secret Santa gift exchange as well. That's what my host does and the party is legendary.
Happy baking friends!
